the cards of the minor arcana suit of wand

Ace of Wands - 22

The image on the left depicts the skies beginning to clear after a storm of thunder and lightning has raged through the night.  A tiny lady by the rocks came here because her life did not pan out, and she was getting ready to commit suicide.  But God’s Angels appeared to her, and stopped her. They made her realize that she was bigger than any obstacles she was dealing with, and prompted her to understand her true destiny. Not only will she live into the old age, her purpose will surpass the Stars!

Dominion - 23

The image on the right depicts a young girl with her gypsy friend. He is telling her about a vision that he saw in the skies of her becoming a Priestess in Egypt. He then asked her to run away with him. The young girl lives comfortably with her parents, but she is tired of spinning yarn on the wheel, and she does not want to end up like her mother – married and unhappy with an ulcer in her stomach.  And so, the young girl has a decision to make.

Virtue - 24

The image on the left depicts a saintly young lady making her best effort to live up to the eternal values. She is still in school, but her mother discovered her sneaking around with an older man by whom she got pregnant.

A family doctor got involved and helped the child to regain her bodily integrity. However, it is not so easy to regain one’s innocence after a debacle like that! If she sticks to her moral values, she will succeed in washing away her iniquity to reclaim her identity.  If not, she will waste away in regrets and sorrows.

Completion - 25

The image on the right depicts a mature lady sniffing the flowers outside her house in Morocco. She is an artist and just married to a diplomat. She lived here once before with her husband in a past life. She came back into this lifetime to reunite with her husband, and to learn whatever lessons she still had to learn until all have been assimilated and understood.  She is happy with herself and her life, and she would not trade places with anyone for anything in the world.

Strife - 26

The image on the left depicts a man sitting in a church. He is not feeling very well because, yesterday, he got into a violent argument with his mother causing a candle to drop to the carpet which set the entire house ablaze. His now late mother has joined God in the heavenly realms. However, her son is suffering here on Earth because, even though he just inherited a ton of cash, he wishes he had a second chance to make it up to Mom. The churchgoers suspect him of murder for inheritance but, after a thorough investigation, the Sheriff released him without charges.

Victory - 27

The image on the right depicts a man being airlifted by three Angels. Since he has lived a life of compassion, he has won himself a permanent vacation with the Lord, and so the man triumphs on his way upstairs, leaving behind all those who ever laughed at him to continue to toil in their trivial lives.

Valor - 28

The image on the left depicts a man polishing his musket while preparing to defend his property against an evil neighbor encroaching on his land. He has tried peace talks and sweet treats, appealing to the local council – but nothing helped! The wicked neighbor continues to steal his land and his apples, and the man continues to lose patience, and he now has to defend his land and his honor no matter what the cost.

Swiftness - 29

The image on the right depicts a celebration with armies returning home after a long war. The maiden standing on the balcony gets tapped by her Nanny to run downstairs to meet the man of her dreams – a Sergeant standing in the lobby.  They have been corresponding and, finally, he has arrived!  The young maiden blushes – as she is excited to meet her future husband – and the Nanny wonders if she will finally get a chance to retire and move away to a warmer climate.

Reason - 30

The image on the left depicts a wealthy man standing outside his mansion while holding some clothes from a pile of scrap left by a homeless fellow the night before. The man is reminiscing his humbler days as a homeless youth; however, he got lucky by marrying the dying merchant’s daughter he worked for. Since then, he inherited piles of gold and several mansions – nonetheless, regardless of his wealthy status, all he can do is hoard – anything that is in front of him, and it bothers his lovely wife a great deal!

Oppression - 31

The image on the right depicts a woman walking down the stairs while being wrapped in some hot and heavy linens.  She is carrying several baskets on her back that her neighbors pay her to deliver to their relatives.  The woman has to work hard to feed her child and pay her light bill. She has a husband at home who is jobless, and she is trying to catch up on her bills by going to a pawn shop to sell her late mother’s golden bracelet.

Who is this courageous woman, and why on earth did she decide to live like this? Behold – there is a method to this “madness!” “Oppression” is merely a live obstacle course for the brave – into which one incarnates – to learn more about how to deal with obstacles and barriers.  The woman is here by design, and all are learning their lessons – including her child and her husband!

Page of Wands - 32

The image on the left depicts a young boy fully absorbed in getting some fresh ideas from a romance novel. He is only halfway through the book, but he thinks he already has the rest of the novel figured out.

As he keeps reading, he is convinced that he can improve the story line and write a better ending – and that he himself would make a much better storyteller.  So, he decides to sit down and write his own novel and, even though he is just a newbie, his book turns out to be a spectacular success.  And so, everyone is fascinated – they want to meet this young writer and read his “book of tales.”

Knight of Wands - 33

The image on the right depicts an Aristocrat wearing a top hat and getting ready to inherit his fortune. His aunt has just transitioned into the heavenly realms while

leaving his nephew a considerable birthright, since he gave her his word to honor her memory with a few promises that he made at her deathbed. But now, the nephew is planning to turn his aunt’s family home into a Saloon, and hire some pretty girls to sell drinks and entertain the clients to keep the business booming.

Queen of Wands - 34

The image on the left depicts a Queen on her throne.  Her strength lies with all of her attributes – both mental and physical – and she is ready to use them all to her best advantage. Everyone in her court admires her presence: she is gentle, yet strong – generous, yet demanding – judicious, yet understanding. She only asks that, at all times, you strive to measure up to her standards – if not, she will expel you from her court!

King of Wands - 35

The image on the right depicts a wise old fellow in a top hat reading his morning newspaper. He hates fake news, and he is tired of all the nonsense. He wonders if the world will ever change, to reflect the highest potential of mankind, or whether he will have to incarnate here over and over again, to help the other humans to make sense of their affairs, overcome their inertia, and achieve greater knowledge and wisdom.

Thankfully, being a man of science, he has invented a solution to accelerate the evolution – an elixir to reverse the aging process, to increase the power of the brain, and to open the third eye to higher consciousness.
